LISCR FC President, Mustapha Raji has replaced Musa Bility as President of Liberia Football Association.
Mr. Bility transferred power to Raji on Tuesday, after Musa Shannon withdrew from the LFA’s presidential election.
Football stakeholders in the country are expected to go to the poll this Saturday to elect a new president to succeed Musa Bility, who two terms of four years expired in March this year.
Bility in a communication to football stakeholders said all decisions concerning LFA must be made with the full consent and approval of the President, Mr. Raji.
The outgoing LFA president stated that the transition to ensure smooth transfer of authority to Raji begun immediately after the Secretary General informed him that one of the Presidential candidates, Musa Shannon, who served LFA Vice President for the past eight years, has withdrawn from the race.
Raji will officially be sworn-in as LFA President on Saturday, September 8 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.
