US-Based Nimbaians To Build Student Center Near UL Fendell Campus

Some US-Based Nimba citizens, under the banner Nimba Association of Massachusetts (NAM), have secured a huge portion of land to construct a student center near the University of Liberia (UL) Fendell Campus outside the capital Monrovia.

The center which includes two dormitories for males and females and a library will host Nimba students that are attending the UL Fendell Campus.

Officials say the Association secured the land in Walker Town, Careysburg City, Montserrado County and groundbreaking and fund-raising program for the project is expected to take place on November 3, 2018

The President of the Association, Mr. Paul Gailah said the Association decided to build the center as its initial project aimed at addressing the difficulty Nimba students face commuting to and from Fendell Campus.

Mr. Gailah described the project as historic and called on citizens of Nimba and other Liberians to join in making it a success.

Following its establishment in 2011, NAM was registered in Liberia in 2015 with the aim of assisting Nimbaians and other Liberians in the USA and back home.
