Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor has said the improvement of the living conditions of people living with disabilities is one of her major priorities.
Madam Howard-Taylor, head of the Group of ‘77’, said she will work in partnership with the National Lottery Authority or NLA to ensure that people living with disabilities are properly taken care of.
VP Taylor noted that disabled people are citizens of Liberia and must also be given attention especially in area of jobs and health care and education.
Meanwhile, NLA’s director general, Michael Kollie, has said the Agency is prepared to support Vice President Taylor in addressing needs of the disabled community.
Mr. Kollie said persons living with disabilities have not been given much attention in national government.
