Senators divided over Wilhelmina Jallah’s confirmation

What supposed to have been the confirmation hearing of health minister-designate, Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah, on Monday ended in a fiasco as the proceedings ended into confusion.

Farbric News reporter covering the Senate said the fate of the health minister designate is unclear amidst claims and counter claims over her appointment by President George Weah.

Her confirmation proceedings were aborted when Grand cape Mount Senator Varney Sherman and Grand Bassa Senator, Nyonblee Karngar Lawrence, argued that Jallah is in court and should be rescheduled until the matter at the court is resolved.

The Church of late Rev. Mother Desiree Fahnbulleh, who died in a private health center owned and operated by the health minister-designate Jallah said she should not be confirmed by the Senate on allegation that she bears the greatest responsibility for the Rev. Mother’s death.
