A woman in her early 40s has reportedly killed herself in Tai-Gesiah, a small town few kilometers from Voinjama City in Lofa County.
Sources in the County say Kumassa Gaysiah, whose body was found on a rope, must have committed suicide to redeem herself from a protracted illness.
Correspondent Mason Kollie in Voinjama City said the late Gaysiah told family members and friends she could not understand herself after visiting several local clinics in the county.
Correspondent Kollie is further quoted as saying the deceased also complained of falling off frequently and her situation became unbearable.
In related news, residents backed by Police are in search of the remains of a 12-year old in Sinoe County, who reportedly drowned in a creek early Monday morning.
Family sources say little Catherine Wesseh and friends had gone to find a local meat, popularly called kiss-meat, when the incident occurred.
Correspondent Ezekiel Geeplay in Greenville City said friends could not rescue little Catherine Wesseh, as all attempts paid futile.
Correspondent Geeplay also said while in search of little Catherine Wesseh’s remains, residents found bodies of children between ages 14 and 15 in the County.
Geeplay said police are still investigating circumstances behind the mass killings of children in the county.
