Police in Lofa County are investigating the mysterious death of a 20-year old man, who reportedly disappeared under strange circumstances.
Reports say 20 year-old Danny Worzie disappeared days after he was tipped to be the possible successor of Kolahun District Commissioner, Morris Tamba, who died in November this year.
Family sources said he disappeared about a week ago.
Police have rounded up seven suspects, including some sectional chiefs, as persons of interest in the disappearance of the 20-year old man.
Correspondent Mason Kollie in Voinjama City said Citizens of Kolahun District are shocked by Danny Worzie’s death.
Correspondent Kollie said Worzie’s lifeless body in a decomposed position was found late Wednesday evening in the bush but could not state if body parts were extracted.
Other local officials and some citizens are wondering why Kolahun District chiefs could conduct elections for Commissioner, when in fact commissioners are appointed by the president or the republic.
According to FARBRIC News Correspondent, family members are demanding fluency investigation to determine the cause of death.
Police in Monrovia have also launched an investigation into the death of a two-year old, who lifeless body was found in a packed vehicle with swollen eyes and bruises on the forehead.
According to family sources, Solomon Quiah disappeared last Friday in the Paynesville 72nd Community under mysterious circumstances.
The two years old child and his mother, Nancy Korkoyah had come from Gbarnga, Bong County to sympathy with family members in Monrovia.
