NASSCORP Director General extols Liberians for huge turnout at polls

National Social Security and Welfares Corporation or NASSCORP’s Director General, Dewitt Valbonmoos, has said the huge turnout of Liberians at polling centers was the demonstration of their eagerness for a peaceful transition of political power after many decades.

Liberia’s last peaceful transition of political power was in 1944.

The NASSCROP boss made the remarks on Tuesday, minutes after he cast his votes at the Virginia Christian Academy.

Valbonmoos said he is grateful to his fellow Liberians and all international partners for their respective roles and duties to ensure a smooth and peaceful electoral process so far.

Meanwhile, Former Police Inspector General, Mark Amblad, has commended the Police and other security agencies for the level of professionalism they exhibited during Tuesday’s polls.
