Man, 29 commit suicide in Nimba County

A man, 29, has reportedly killed himself in Nimba County, minutes after he accused his son of eating portion of his food without permission.

Aaron Gofan, a father of four, allegedly committed the act Monday, August 7, 2017 on his farm.

The reports said Mr. Gofan killed himself after a town chief ordered his arrest for burning the hands of his 6-year old child, as a punishment for eating his food.

FARBRIC News Nimba County Correspondent, Krany Zimbo said the remains of Gofan have since been buried.

Meanwhile, a 29-year old woman, who reportedly disappeared in Bong County, has been found dead.

FARBRIC News Bong County Correspondent, Joseph Titus Yekeryan, said Angeline Kolleh’s beheaded body was discovered by residents in the early hours of Tuesday near the One-Plus-One Business Center in Gbarnga.

Residents in that part of Central Liberia say mysterious disappearances and deaths usually occur in the County, especially during electionary period, Correspondent Yekeryan is quoted as saying.
