Liberia Revenue Authority or LRA’s Commissioner General, ElfriedaTamba, has said the work of the Agency is not restricted to the collection lawful revenues.
Madam Tamba said although the LRA was established in 2013 to administer the revenue laws, it also has a social corporate responsibility to Liberia.
Madam Tamba made the remarks over the weekend when the LRA donated assorted food and non-food items to the Antoinette Tubman Cheshire home in Sinkor and Old Folks Refuge home on Front Street in Central Monrovia.
Commissioner General Tamba said the donations were made in response to appeals from the charity homes.
Meanwhile, two of the beneficiaries have called on other agencies of the government and well-meaning Liberians to emulate the LRA’s example.
The beneficiaries said LRA gesture would go a long way in restoring hope for their institutions.
