An official of the Liberia Revenue Authority or LRA says the Education Ministry shares the blame for Liberia’s messy education system.
- Kaihenneh Sengbeh, LRA’s communication officer, said the Ministry failed to institute measures for effective monitoring of the school system.
Mr. Sengbeh, a former secretary general of the Press Union of Liberia, also said lack of qualified and trained teachers in today’s classrooms is another major contributing factor to the messy education system.
Sengbeh made the remarks during the weekend when he served as guest speaker at the 5th closing and thanksgiving service of the Great Commission Institute in Gardnerville.
The LRA official said parents also share the blame for the poor education system for bribing teachers with the aim to give their children passing grades.
