Rep. Gray accuses VP Boakai of carrying AK-47 arm during slain Pre. Doe regime

Montserrado County District ‘8’ Representative, Moses Acarus Gray, has said Vice President Joseph Boakai did not resign, but was sacked as Agriculture Minister by slain President Samuel Doe.

Representative Gray said the Vice President’s claims that he resigned, as the late Doe’s Agriculture Minister is misleading.

He said the late Doe dismissed Ambassador Boakai then Minister of Agriculture for administrative mal-practices.

Gray also claimed Boakai wore a military uniform in support of the execution of Liberians during the military regime.

Meanwhile, a member of a pro-Boakai group, John Kangbay, has rebuked Gray and said his claims are total rubbish.

In a separate development, Representative Gray is asking members of the 53rd Legislature to declare their assets in compliance with the code of conduct.

He said assets declaration is a law that members of the Legislature must obey.
