National Civil Society Council challenges human rights organizations to put stop to impunity

An official of the National Civil Society Council of Liberia has challenged human rights organizations in Liberia to take ownership of human rights activities across the Country.

Madam Frances Greaves said it is time that human rights institutions put stop to impunity by taking full responsibility of human rights issues before and after the October 2017 legislative and presidential elections.

Madam Greaves made the remarks Tuesday during an induction ceremony of the Civil Society Human Rights Advocacy Platform in Paynesville City.

She urged civil society organizations, particularly human rights groups to be the voice of the people.

In brief remarks, an official of the Civil Society Human Rights Advocacy Platform, Adam Dempster, urged members of the group to prioritize issues of human rights abuses.

The National Civil Society Human Rights Advocacy Platform comprises human rights organizations across Liberia.
