President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has made new appointments in her Government, affecting the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Labor, the Judiciary and the Grand Bassa Community College.
Those appointed are subject to confirmation by the Honorable Liberian Senate where applicable.
According to an Executive Mansion release, Dr. Nathaniel G. Gbessagee has been named President of Grand Bassa Community College.
Dr. Gbessagee replaces Madam Augurie Herring who has served as Interim President of the College since the removal of Dr. Levi Zangar with immediate effect.
His appointment comes as a result of an independent Vetting Process instituted by the Commission on Higher Education of the Republic of Liberia.
The Vetting Committee was chaired by retired Methodist Bishop Arthur F. Kulah and included representatives from the University of Liberia, the Commission on Higher Education, amongst others.

Counselor Scheaplor R. Dunbar – Relieving Judge, R. L.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Cllr. Lois Bruthus – Liberia Ambassador to the United States of America
Mrs. Musu Ruhle – Liberia Ambassador to Sierra Leone
Ministry of Labor
Atty. Jerome B. Kolleh – Assistant Minister for Standards
Meanwhile, President Sirleaf has also dissolved the Board of Trustees of the Grand Bassa Community College. The Board of Trustees will be reconstituted shortly consistent with the Charter of the College.
