Information Minister Eugene Nagbe has said his election as Secretary General of the ruling Unity Party is in no way a violation of the Code of Conduct

Ruling Unity Party’s newly elected Secretary General, Lenn Eugene Nagbe, said his election to the post, while serving as Information Minister, has in no way violated the Code of Conduct.

The Code of Conduct provides clear guidelines on the behaviour of public officials and requires that presidential appointees resign their positions 3 years ahead of any elections.

Minister Nagbe said Liberians, who think anyone has violated the law, including the Code of Conduct, must use the courts to seek redress.
